A note from the founder

A note from the founder

I kept seeing ambitious companies move too slowly. They had real problems to solve and real opportunities in front of them, but technology was stuck behind PRDs, meetings, hierarchy, and slow decisions.

I had seen what great engineering teams could do when they moved differently. My Friend’s startup shipped fast. They learned from users. They improved every week. The pace was different, and so were the outcomes.

Twospoon was built on a simple belief: ambitious companies should have access to engineers who think clearly, move fast, and care deeply about the problem.

We are not here to build software that becomes a checkmark on someone’s roadmap. We are here to build things people use. Things that change how a team works. Things users care enough to complain about, improve, and love. Things that create real impact.

A lot of work today feels hollow because people are too far from the problem. Engineers are handed tickets, asked to follow instructions, and kept away from the decisions that actually matter.

I don’t think great engineers are built that way.

Great engineers need ownership. They need context. They need the freedom to make calls. They need to feel responsible for the outcome, not just the task.

That is the kind of company we are trying to build.

At Twospoon, engineers work on problems that are real and consequential: architecting how an AI operating system should work for a financial firm managing billions in capital, building platforms that help listed manufacturing companies make decisions faster, creating observability systems for large-scale infrastructure, and building AI agents that help small e-commerce teams operate with the leverage of much larger teams.

This is the kind of work that makes software feel magical.

A computer is, in some sense, just sand. But in the hands of good engineers, it can become a system that changes how people work, decide, sell, invest, operate, and build. Almost magical to me.

AI makes this moment even more important. It is a power pack for good engineers. It gives them extra hands. It lets one strong engineer bring ideas to life in weeks that used to take months. This is the best time in history to be a builder.

We move fast because we remove the things that slow good people down: unnecessary hierarchy, micromanagement, endless meetings, and fear. We do not move fast by building careless, hacky software. Hacky software breaks. Useful software lasts.

The standard here is simple: think like an owner, care about the problem, and be truthful to your work.

That also means you will make mistakes. And that is okay. If people are expected to move fast, they have to be trusted enough to make calls. Mistakes made with honest intent are part of building. Fear kills speed. Ownership creates it.

Twospoon exists to create that place for bold engineers.

A place where people move fast, take ownership, solve deep problems, and build software that feels like magic when it works.

If that calls out to you, we would love to build with you.
